Tendonitis: Tendon pain that won't quit needs specialist care.
We just added Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy to our plantar fasciitis toolkit. A non-invasive, drug-free way to calm stubborn heel pain.

ยง The toolkit

Comprehensive tendon care under one roof.

Treatment starts with identifying which tendon is involved and why. Dr. Reddy and Dr. Pokala use ultrasound imaging and a physical exam to build a targeted plan around your specific injury.

Custom Orthotics

Correct the underlying foot mechanics that place chronic stress on specific tendons.

Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)

Delivers energy to damaged tendons to break down scar tissue and stimulate the body's natural repair process.

Corticosteroid Injections

Targeted injections reduce acute inflammation and relieve pain during flare-ups.

Surgical Repair

For tendons with significant structural damage, surgery removes damaged tissue or repairs tears to restore full function.

ยง How it works

Four tendons. Four different presentations. One practice.

The foot and ankle rely on tendons to move, stabilize, and absorb impact. When any tendon is overloaded repeatedly, damage builds faster than the body can repair it. The result looks different depending on which tendon is affected.

01  Achilles Tendonitis

Pain and stiffness at the back of the heel, worst after rest and with activity. Often caused by tight calf muscles or a sudden jump in activity.

02  Posterior Tibial Tendonitis

Pain along the inside of the ankle and foot. A leading cause of adult flat foot if left untreated.

03  Peroneal Tendonitis

Pain and instability along the outer ankle. Often triggered by sprains, high arches, or repetitive activity on uneven surfaces.

04  Extensor Tendonitis

Aching or sharp pain on top of the foot. Commonly caused by tight shoes, high arches, or a sudden increase in walking or running.
Untreated tendonitis can progress to a partial or complete tear, requiring surgery and a much longer recovery. Early care keeps treatment simple. Same-day appointments are available.
ยง The condition

What is tendonitis?

Tendonitis is inflammation of a tendon, the tissue connecting muscle to bone. In the foot and ankle, the most commonly affected tendons are the Achilles, posterior tibial, peroneal, and extensor tendons. Symptoms include pain that worsens with activity, stiffness after rest, swelling, and tenderness along the tendon. Without treatment, the condition typically becomes chronic and harder to resolve.

ยง Finding the source

How we pinpoint which tendon and why

Dr. Reddy and Dr. Pokala use physical examination, on-site imaging, and gait analysis to identify the affected tendon, assess the injury, and find the underlying cause.

01 Ultrasound Imaging
Real-time imaging that reveals thickening, tearing, and inflammation along the tendon.

02 Digital X-rays
Rule out bone spurs, stress fractures, or calcium deposits that can mimic or coexist with tendon pain.
03 Biomechanical & Gait Analysis Identifies structural issues like flat feet or high arches that place abnormal load on specific tendons.
