Pediatric Foot Care: Little feet deserve specialist attention from the very start.
We are excited to remind our patients and families that Restore Podiatry sees children of all ages. From toddlers taking their first steps to teen athletes pushing through heel pain, Dr. Reddy and Dr. Pokala welcome young patients with the same expert care they provide to adults.
ยง What to look out for
Signs your child's feet may need attention.
Many foot concerns in children are normal developmental milestones. These are the signs worth bringing to us.
01  Flat feet past age 6
Some flatness is normal in young children. Persistent flat feet with pain, tripping, or uneven shoe wear are worth evaluating.
02  Heel pain during activity
The most common cause is Sever's disease, a growth plate condition common in active children aged 8 to 14.
03 In-toeing or out-toeing
Common walking patterns that often self-correct, though some cases persist and benefit from early support.
04  Ingrown nails or warts
Very common in children and easy to dismiss, but can become painful or infected if left alone.
ยง What to look out for
Pediatric care built around your child.
At Restore, Dr. Reddy and Dr. Pokala tailor every plan to your child's age, activity level, and specific condition.
Pediatric Custom Orthotics
Custom-fitted orthotics that support healthy arch development and correct abnormal pressure patterns without restricting natural growth.
Fractures & Sprains
Children are prone to foot and ankle injuries during sports and activity. We evaluate and treat fractures, growth plate injuries, and ligament sprains in kids of all ages.
Sever's Disease Treatment
Heel padding, stretching protocols, and activity modification to relieve growth plate pain in active children.
Nail & Skin Care
Gentle in-office treatment of ingrown toenails and warts in an environment designed to be comfortable for kids.
ยง Common concerns
What parents ask us most.

Will they just grow out of it?
Sometimes yes. But some conditions worsen as bones develop. A quick evaluation tells you which category you're dealing with.

Is my child in pain and not telling me?
Children often adapt to discomfort without complaining. Changes in activity level, walking pattern, or shoe preference can be early signs.

How young is too young to be seen?
There is no minimum age. Early evaluation is always better than waiting, especially for conditions easier to correct in growing bones.

Will treatment mean missing sports?
Most pediatric treatments are conservative and designed around keeping kids active. Surgery is rarely needed and is always a last resort.

ยง Common conditions we treat
Pediatric foot conditions we see every week.
Flat feet, gait concerns, Sever's disease, sports injuries, ingrown toenails, warts, and toe walking are among the most common reasons parents bring children to Restore. Some of these are entirely normal at certain developmental stages. Others benefit from early care. Our job is to tell you the difference!
ยง Finding the source
How we evaluate your child
Dr. Reddy and Dr. Pokala use age-appropriate clinical examination and, when needed, on-site imaging to assess your child's foot structure and function.

01 Orthotic & Footwear Assessment
Evaluating whether custom orthotics or footwear changes may support healthy development or correct abnormal pressure patterns.

02 Digital X-rays (when needed) Low-dose pediatric X-rays assess bone development, growth plate health, and structural alignment when clinical exam warrants it.

03 Foot & Ankle Examination
Measures arch flexibility, joint range of motion, muscle strength, and skin and nail health appropriate to your child's age.
